Ticket Reservation System for Select Sanctuaries & Museums
While there is nothing we love more than welcoming people to our trails or museums, we also want to ensure that everyone is safe during a visit—visitors and staff alike. For some of our more heavily visited wildlife sanctuaries, this is especially true.
To allow us to safely manage the number of people on the trails or in a gallery at any given time, we are using an Entry & Parking Reservation system at some of our sites. All tickets must be obtained online in advance—you will not be able to get tickets onsite. We will be adding more dates on a rolling basis.
→ The following sanctuaries and museums require a reservation:
Broadmoor Wildlife Sanctuary (closed Mondays except holidays)
Ipswich River Wildlife Sanctuary (closed Mondays except holidays)
Drumlin Farm Wildlife Sanctuary (closed Mondays except holidays)
Gallery at Museum of American Bird Art (Thursdays-Sundays only)
Blue Hills Trailside Museum (Wednesdays-Fridays only)
Why these sanctuaries and museums?
The sanctuaries selected for ticketed entry typically experience heavy visitation, and reservations will help limit the number of visitors at any one time, for everyone's safety and enjoyment of the sanctuary. Reservations are required for the Museum of American Bird Art Gallery to ensure that we comply with state COVID-19 regulations.
Why do we have to reserve tickets in advance?
Reserving online and in advance enables you to make contact-less reservations.
How much is a reservation?
Tickets are free to Mass Audubon members. Reservations are also free for active-duty military families, EBT cardholders, Wonderfund cardholders, and ConnectorCare Card to Culture cardholders. If you have a Mass Audubon pass from your local library, admission is free except at Drumlin Farm, where there is a $2/person fee and 4-person max for library pass holders.
If you are not a Mass Audubon member, you can purchase parking/entry reservations at the following nonmember rates:
- Broadmoor: $6/adult, $4/senior, $4/child (age 2 & older)
- Ipswich River: $10 per car
- Drumlin Farm: $9/adult, $6/senior, $6/child (age 2 & older)
- Blue Hills Trailside Museum: Outdoor exhibits are free, donations appreciated
- MABA Gallery: $4/adult, $3/senior, $3/child (age 2 & older); trails are free

How far in advance can I reserve parking?
We're only offering parking/entry reservations 1-2 days in advance for now. We may add more flexibility in the future. Check the ticket reservation links listed above for updates.
Will there be any restrooms or water fountains?
Restrooms are only available at Drumlin Farm and MABA. There are no water fountains available.
How long can I stay once I am there?
While you must arrive during your reserved time slot, you can stay for as long as you like except at the MABA Gallery where visits are limited to 55 minutes.
What if I need to cancel?
Unfortunately, the reservations are nonrefundable, and we cannot accommodate any date changes at the moment.
What if I just joined Mass Audubon online and don't have a member card?
Thank you so much for your membership support! Your email confirmation of your membership will serve as your temporary membership card. Please show that email along with your ticket confirmation when you arrive.
