Join us to learn all about the woodpeckers that live at Broad Meadow Brook. Find out how and why these amazing birds jackhammer trees for their dinner, then walk the trails to search for five different woodpecker species. From the tiny Downy Woodpecker to the crow-sized Pileated Woodpecker, learn all about the special qualities that allow these birds to eat, communicate, and shape the forest around them as you enjoy a spring day at the sanctuary.
