Wicked Big Trees: A Wildlife and History Walk at Ipswich River

Walk beneath the canopy of some of the oldest trees in Essex County, where centuries of history and wildlife converge. On this guided walk, a Mass Audubon naturalist will share the cultural history of this remarkable landscape while scanning the branches for birds and wildlife that depend on these ancient trees for shelter and food.

During this walk, you'll develop tree identification skills and leave with a deeper appreciation for the forest that has been quietly growing here since long before the sanctuary's founding.
