Description
Let's get slimy! Roll over a log at Boston Nature Center and you'll find a whole new world few people think to look for: slugs, pill bugs, millipedes, and other detritivores are quietly recycling the forest floor. At this festival-style event, flip logs and peer through magnifiers to discover the invertebrates living right beneath your feet, learn how they connect to composting and healthy ecosystems, and create art inspired by the critters you find.
Activities span life cycles, food webs, and close-up discoveries designed for all ages. With so much to explore, even the squeamish come away with a new appreciation for the creatures underfoot.

Meet at the Nature Center. Wear comfortable clothes and sturdy footwear suitable for exploring outdoors. Ample parking, bathrooms, and water bottle filling station available on site.
