Description
November brings what New Englanders call 'stick season,' but there's much more to see than just sticks! With the leaves fallen and the understory open, the forests reveal wildlife that were previously hidden behind a wall of green.
Walk the sanctuary with a naturalist guide in search of late-season mammals, birds, and evidence of animals preparing for the cold weather ahead. As you explore, learn about the different ways that all elements of the forest transition from fall to winter.
Come away with a sharper eye for seasonal changes and a new appreciation for what happens in the forest after the color fades.
