Drumlin Farm Wildlife Care Internship
The Wildlife Internship Program for college students and recent grads helps train future wildlife care specialists.
Our interns learn from and assist Wildlife Care staff with the general care and maintenance of a collection of native non-releasable wildlife.
Interns will:
- Prepare animal diets
- Maintain and clean animal enclosures
- Feed animals
- Teach wildlife education programs
- Design animal exhibits
- Provide enrichment
- Analyze scientific papers regarding animal care topics
You'll also learn about:
- Animal training
- Medical procedures
- Massachusetts wildlife natural history
Interns will develop an independent project of interest to be completed in full during the course of the internship.
Application Process
We accept applications for the Wildlife Care Internship Program during the months prior to the start of each school semester.
This is an unpaid internship. Minimum commitment is 2 days a week for at least 3 months.
