Interns learn how to:

  • Prepare animal diets
  • Maintain and clean animal enclosures
  • Feed animals
  • Teach wildlife education programs
  • Design animal exhibits
  • Provide enrichment
  • Analyze scientific papers regarding animal care topics

Interns also have the chance to learn about:

  • Animal training
  • Medical procedures
  • Massachusetts wildlife natural history

Interns will develop an independent project of interest to be completed in full during the course of the internship.

We accept applications for the Wildlife Care Internship Program during the months prior the start of each school semester. Learn more
