Teen camp for kids entering Gr 8-12.
Jump start your climate activism skills in this two-week environmental leadership camp. Devvelop leadership skills and action steps to combat climate change in your community. Alongside your peers, you'll learn how to identify areas that are especially vulnerable to the effects of climate change, and locate resources you can utilize to address those vulnerabilities. You'll participate in service projects around the sanctuary , and see what climate action looks like at Mass Audubon.
At the end of your two-week session, we'll help you set goals to take on a climate action project of your own in your community. Connect with youth climate groups within Mass Audubon and across Massachusetts, so that you can keep the momentum going! At the end of the summer, on August 25, we'll welcome all participants to join us for a final virtual meeting, where you can share your progress and collaborate with peers before summer's end.
All programs will be conducted in accordance with current Municipal, State, and Mass Audubon Covid-19 protocols. All participants and staff must wear a properly fitted face covering and comply with social distancing guidelines for the duration of the program. Groups are limited to a maximum of 10 participants. A detailed confirmation letter will be emailed at least 24 hours before the program.
