Description
The world is full of tiny, incredible creatures—and this program helps toddlers and their caregivers meet some of them up close. After a reading of Fletcher and the Caterpillar by Julia Rawlinson and Tiphanie Beeke, you'll head outside with sweep nets and bug boxes to search the sanctuary's fields for the fascinating insects that call them home.
Little ones will discover what makes insects special, why the fields around us are so full of life, and why these small neighbors matter to the bigger world around them. Back inside, everyone makes a butterfly craft to take home as a keepsake of the morning's discoveries.
