Terrific Toddlers - Early Fall Series

Description

Designed for the very youngest nature lovers and the grown-ups who bring them, this five-week series turns a Friday morning into a weekly adventure through the natural world. Each session starts inside with a story, game, or sensory activity before heading out for a leisurely walk along the sanctuary trails to discover what's living right underfoot and overhead.

The topics shift each week—from Incredible Insects to Fantastic Frogs, Terrific Turtles, Sneaky Snakes, and life Under the River—keeping little ones curious and engaged all fall long. Head outside with sweep nets and bug boxes to search the sanctuary's fields for the fascinating insects that call them home; use dip nets and buckets to search for frogs, getting an up-close look at the creatures; and handle real turtle shells before making a colorful paper plate turtle craft.

The same small group meets with the same educator each week, making it a wonderful opportunity for toddlers to build friendships and for caregivers to connect with other families in the area. While you could register for each week separately, if you register for the full series before it begins you will receive all five sessions for the price of four.
