Summer Camp Update

June 4, 2020

We are currently planning on having camp at Drumlin Farm this summer—we're just not sure yet when it will begin. In the last two weeks, we received recommendations from the CDC and from the American Camping Association (ACA) on running a safe camp. With the state regulations for reopening camp available as of June 1, we are currently examining our camp policies and procedures and modifying them to meet or exceed these recommendations.

We will send out a handbook of our updated policies and procedures that will include the modifications Mass Audubon camps will be taking to adhere to the ACA, CDC, and Massachusetts Department of Public Health guidelines.

Please note: We will not be able to run camp at our Assabet River location this summer due to the state's restrictions.

One-week sessions for campers entering grades 2–6 offer a unique blend of outdoor activities like canoeing, tracking, and archery, and hands-on exploration of the Assabet River National Wildlife Refuge. Explore the trails, forest, and pond while learning from counselors, and get a close-up look at endangered species and conservation efforts.

What Others Are Saying

"My camper loved getting out into the wildlife refuge and exploring! It was an idyllic experience for him to fish, canoe, catch bugs, and learn about nature while hiking the trails. He loved the freedom to play and learn."
