In this hands-on, experiential class, we will learn some common wild edible plants found in New England and the steps involved in collecting them for consumption--proper identification, seasonality and plant life cycle, best/worst places to harvest, and even insect-disease pest considerations. Which plant species are native and which are invasive exotic? How is Climate Change affecting the health and survival of these plants? Explore the trails of Moose Hill with head Teacher Naturalist, Michael Scutari, to answer these questions and search for these wild edibles!
