A Birding Year at Habitat

Description

Every month brings a new colorful cast of birds to Habitat Education Center & Wildlife Sanctuary, and this year-long series is your chance to experience the full spectrum. Each monthly session focuses on a species indicative of the season while building your field identification skills, expanding your knowledge of bird behavior and conservation needs, and connecting you with a community of fellow birders.

Whether you are a beginner looking for a welcoming entry point or an experienced birder ready to sharpen your skills, this program is designed to meet you where you are. You'll round out the year with an in-depth overview of local birdlife and a deeper appreciation for their intricate lives.

Sessions begin with a brief indoor introduction before heading out onto the sanctuary trails with our naturalists as your guide. You'll observe these birds and their habitats in the wild, use field guides, look at specimens up close, and more.
