Do you care about ocean animals? Would you like to be a marine biologist some day? Join us at Joppa Flats to learn about the fascinating feeding behaviors of the marine life that live in our onsite tanks. You will take on the role of an animal husbandry caretaker and help us identify, sort, and feed all our marine invertebrates, from moon snails to sea urchins. We will provide you with a variety of foods and give you step-by-step instructions on how to feed the different animal groups, all at your own riverside yard station outdoors.
Meet at Joppa Flats Education Center, Newburyport. Covid-19 safety protocols will be provided. All participants must wear a mask and complete a Covid-19 self-health assessment prior to the program. Dress for the weather; use protection from biting insects.
