Description
At this time of year, the region's waterways are dotted with waterfowl, and this extended program gives you the time and the access to see them properly. Traveling by van to Parker River National Wildlife Refuge, Cherry Hill Reservoir, the Merrimack River, and Salisbury Beach, you'll get a chance to see a full range of duck, goose, and swan species that winter in Essex County.
With an expert guide to help you distinguish scaups, scoters, goldeneyes, mergansers, and more by their field marks and behaviors, you'll leave with a working knowledge of the waterfowl that defines fall and winter on the North Shore. All experience levels are welcome.
