Hike through oak/hickory forest and salt marsh looking for signs of animals preparing for winter for Mass Audubon's Hike-a-thon weekend. We're challenging you to get outside and hike 1.25 miles the last weekend in November in celebration of our 125th anniversary of protecting the nature of Massachusetts. Ditch the crowds and enjoy the mental and physical benefits of hiking outdoors as you learn about the natural world from our expert guide.
Expect to travel smooth trails at a leisurely pace. For more details and other ways to enrich your hiking, visit massaudubon.org/hikeathon.
Meet at Rough Meadows Wildlife Sanctuary, Rowley MA. Dress in warm layers with footwear that can get wet and muddy, ie. rain boots. Preregistered participants will receive an email with full details prior to the program with directions and guidelines.
