Description
Some birds head south when the temperatures drop, but plenty stick around Massachusetts all winter long, and they have some remarkable tricks for staying warm. Meet one of Drumlin Farm's wildlife ambassador songbirds up close and learn about the amazing adaptations that help birds survive through the coldest months.
After the encounter, build a simple bird feeder to take home and give your backyard visitors a boost this season. Then, head out for a short guided walk around the sanctuary to search for winter residents and tune in to their calls. You might be surprised how much bird life there is even on the chilliest days of the year.
