Great Blue Herons are deep observers, fast movers, and are vital to their habitat. We will study the same topics as the Red-tailed Hawk group (ages 6-8) but the older students will hike farther, learn more complex natural history concepts, and do more challenging projects.
This season we will focus on a different group of wildlife each class. Learn cool facts, catch and observe animals up close, and spend time getting to know why each group is important to the larger ecosystem it is a part of. The last class will be spent doing a bioblitz, a special kind of challenge where you try to find every kind of creature living in one spot.
