Whether hiking in the woods, bird watching at the vernal pool, or looking for insects in the meadow, campers at Camp BNC at West Roxbury will have fun while learning about nature. Every day campers discover the world around them through an engaging nature-inspired curriculum and in a safe, inclusive camp community.
Since 1645, Roxbury Latin has offered able and aspiring boys of Greater Boston a distinctive education. The school's 117-acre campus includes more than 50 acres of beautiful, undisturbed forest, where BNC campers will discover and learn about the natural environment. When campers are not outside investigating vernal pools, picking blueberries, or exploring wooded trails, they will be creating and playing in Roxbury Latin's classrooms, art studio, theater, and state-of-the-art gymnasium.
Ravens (age 10 and 11) and Adventurers (age 12 and 13), each have their own weekly nature theme that is engaging and age appropriate. Please visit the BNC Camp webpage for a full description of themes.
Campers spend time outdoors every day learning about nature through observations, investigations, art activities, teambuilding, and more. Throughout the week campers take part in traditions like morning circle, camp clean and special event days like Earth Carnival or Camp Clue.
Join us for a unique camp experience that combines high-quality science education with the traditions of summer camp that will help your child build a life-long connection to the outdoors!
