Celebrate Pride Month with us on the Summer Solstice! We will be hosting an evening of socializing, reflection, and celebration. Meet at 7 PM underneath the Arcadia Pavilion, visible from the parking area. After introductions, we will divide into two groups for some relaxing hikes on Arcadia's trails. We will be offering one silent, meditative walk, allowing you to hear the sounds of a summer evening, and another, more social hike, for those who like chatty walks! Both walks will conclude by a fire from 8 to 9 PM to reconnect and meet new people. Please feel free to bring your own snacks, marshmallows, and other treats to enjoy by the fire.
Our hikes will take around 20-45 minutes, depending on the group's interests. The walks will both be at a relaxed pace with moments to stop and listen for birds and other wildlife. They will ascend and descend unpaved inclines as well as flat ground, which may contain tree roots and uneven footing.
Our small fire will take place in the field, adjacent to the All Person's Trail, accessible from the parking lot or from inside the Visitor Center. The gravel All Person's Trail is accessible for wheelchairs and has benches along the way for those who prefer to sit rather than go for a walk.
