Discover the fascinating world of birds—and how you can help protect them—by soaring into a full day of feathered fun at Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary. Enjoy a dynamic mix of indoor and outdoor activities designed for all ages and experience levels.

Watch a bird banding demonstration to see how scientists safely capture, band, and release migratory songbirds as part of a long-standing effort to monitor bird populations on Cape Cod. Scan the landscape through spotting scopes set up around the grounds, then head inside for engaging educational presentations—including an up-close program featuring live owls that’s sure to be a hoot.

Bird-themed games, take-home crafts, and interactive touch tables promise a good time for the whole family. Whether you’re a seasoned birder or simply curious, there’s something for everyone to love.
