Go Wild at Arcadia’s Nature Play Area 

Think of Mass Audubon’s signature Nature Play Areas as outdoor playgrounds made of natural materials that support self-directed adventures, creative building opportunities, and games. At Arcadia’s Nature Play Area, conveniently located outside of the Nature Center and a short walk from the parking lot, you’ll find: 

• A fort made of black locust and grapevine branches to play in 
• Everything you need to build a fairy home 
• Opportunities to practice balance and coordination on the stump jump  
• A grounded sunken rowboat where seafaring fantasies and adventures unfold 
• Picnic tables shaded by large staghorn sumacs, perfect for snack time and watching the fun unfold.
