Description
Every December, birders across North America step outside and count every bird they can find as part of the longest-running community science survey in history—the Christmas Bird Count.
You will start by learning to recognize common winter species with a bird scavenger hunt on a short, flat, accessible trail. Afterwards, use binoculars from the window overlooking Arcadia's feeders for an official counting session. Your count contributes to over a century of bird population data—real science you can do together as a family.
