Celebrate Your Birthday at Allens Pond!

Whether it’s exploring our coastline or partying indoors at our gorgeous Stone Barn, Allens Pond in South Dartmouth offers fun, nature-inspired birthday parties from April through September for children turning 5 to 10 years old.

Our experienced staff will lead the children in a 60-minute program, which always includes some time outside. After the program, your guests will return to a central point where you may serve food, cake, and refreshments. On rainy days, bring your boots and raincoats. We will not go outdoors in thunderstorms, hail, or severe weather conditions.

Birthday Party Themes

We offer a variety of nature-based themes to make your party fun, educational and unique! Choose a seasonal theme:

Birds of Prey

Explore the trails and learn about owls, hawks and other birds of prey. Meet our mounted animals up close and see how they are so well adapted to catch fish, fly silent and circle high overhead!  Choose an owl pellet dissection, owl craft or osprey mask project.

Beach Investigators

Enjoy a hike on our beach loop trail and discover what’s on the shoreline. Gain binocular skills as we scan and identify coastal birds, ducks and more! Pick a second choice, in case of severe weather. Choose a Neptune’s crown creation or shell art project.

Quansett Explorers

Get out on the Quansett Trail and enjoy a hike! We’ll look for tracks, enjoy seasonal phenomena and identify wildlife along the way. Scavenger hunt included in this party theme.

Pond Discovery

Depending on the season, we’ll explore a vernal pool or our salt pond. Learn about pond ecology and wildlife and enjoy some time investigating critters. Choose creating a frog mask, make your own binoculars or watercolor art.

Bugs & Butterflies

Investigate the bugs and butterflies that are out in our fields, learn about important plant species that help them succeed, and enjoy a fun pollinator activity!
