Adaptive Program in the Community

Over the past few months, educators from the South East region have been working within the Fall River community to provide adaptive programming for individuals with a variety of needs: sensory, intellectual, social-emotional, etc. Staff have been focusing on exploring and discussing wetland and watershed ecology, along with the science of habitat restoration.

Over the next few months, students will be taking what they have learned and adapting it to a project focusing on habitat restoration within their schoolyard and communities. Students will be growing pollinator-friendly plants within their classrooms that they will later plant within their schoolyard, with plants also being provided for other restoration projects.
