Explore natural wonders of all six New England states by summiting the tallest peak in each. The pursuit of state highpoints has a proud tradition and we'll be joining in. New England's highest places range from a relaxing stroll up Rhode Island's Jerimoth Hill to the challenge of hiking as much as 15 miles to ascend peaks like Katahdin in Maine. In-between peaks we'll enjoy activities like zip-lining, swimming, visiting with naturalists and taking in breathtaking scenery around New England. At the end of our adventure, we will have proudly completed a regional highpoint challenge and made friendships that will last a lifetime.
This two week adventure trip is recommended for campers entering grades 10-12. Previous Wildwood trip experience preferred.
Wildwood Teen Adventure Trips immerse teens entering grades 9-12 in the natural wonders of some of New England's most beautiful areas. All trips focus on developing a love of the outdoors, but each trip takes a unique approach. A wide variety of trip options accommodate many interests and levels of outdoor experience. Teen Adventure Trips begin with a half day of team-building and orientation at Wildwood. Groups then travel to destinations around the Northeast. Along the way, they'll participate in a variety of outdoor adventures, learn the basics of Leave No Trace camping and trekking, and meet with conservation professionals to participate in hands on environmental study or service. Groups are small and co-ed, with two leaders and between 5-10 teens. Participants practice hands-on skills in conservation and outdoor living and develop knowledge of the region's natural history.
