Young children are naturally curious about the out-of-doors, eager to see a turtle, smell a flower, feel the cool underside of a log, and search for animal homes in the woods. Discoverers are introduced to plants and animals through outdoor explorations, crafts, games, songs, and stories.
Theme: Down & Dirty Science

This week campers will explore the importance of soil and how it relates to plants and biodiversity. We'll look at compaction, erosion, and sedimentation. Themed activities will include seed planting, beaver dam building, and natural paint brushes and mud painting. Soil testing for senior campers and soil exploration for junior campers will have everyone investigating the mysteries beneath their feet.
