Come with us aboard the luxurious, five-star riverboat Zafiro as we travel along ever smaller waterways and the remote corners of the Upper Amazon Basin. We'll leave the bustling city of Iquitos behind us, entering an encompassing and verdant wilderness. The Amazon is home to more than 1,300 species of birds, 40,000 plant species, grey and pink dolphins, sloths, and many primates.

Our days will start early with dawn birding, then delicious breakfasts of local tropical fruit, followed by a full day of birding, lectures, and natural/cultural history, interspersed with delicious food, time for a siesta or relaxation in the shipboard Jacuzzi, and ending with night birding under star-filled skies.
