You might be surprised by how much nature can be found in an urban park, even in the winter! We will look for migrating ducks, resident and wintering songbirds, hawks, and maybe our resident Peregrine Falcon. In Massachusetts, 2022 is predicted to be an "irruption" yearfor some northern finch species, where they may head south instead of north to overwinter - we will be on the lookout for these as well.

Instructions and Directions:

Meet at the Powder Magazine Building at 668 Memorial Drive in Cambridge, MA. We will travel in a loop around the park to observe wetlands, the river, and tall trees that shelter the park.

Parking is available but please avoid driving if possible.

Binoculars will be available upon request.

Registration is required.
