Search the salt marsh and dunes around the mouth of the Merrimack River for raptors of all types. We hope to see Bald Eagle, Snowy Owl, Red-tailed and Rough-legged hawks, Northern Harrier, Peregrine Falcon, and maybe more. We will also check out any other birds and mammals that we encounter. Learn about raptors, how they survive the winter here, and what their day-to-day lives are like out here in the frozen northland. The Merrimack River estuary is a renowned location for winter raptors, and we will do our best to see as many species as well as possible. Oh, and we will also have fun.
