Watching bird activity change with the seasons is a fascinating experience, so now is always the best time to get out and witness the wonder! Join us for one or more of these quick weekend walks in one of the best year-round bird migration areas in the country. For most of our gatherings, we'll travel by Mass Audubon vans and carpool to each week's hottest spot. All experience levels welcome.

10/16: Parker River National Wildlife Refuge, Newbury.
10/30: Ipswich River Wildlife Sanctuary, Topsfield.(no van travel)
11/13: Cherry Hill Reservoir and other locations, West Newbury.
11/27: Cedar Pond Wildlife Sanctuary, Wenham. (no van travel)
12/4: Plum Island, Newburyport
12/11: Ipswich River Wildlife Sanctuary, Topsfield. (no van travel)

Instructions and Directions:

Meet in the parking lot at the north end of Plum Island, Newburyport. Bring binoculars and a field guide to birds. Wear clothing and footwear appropriate for the weather and terrain.

Masks are required indoors and in vans; they are optional outdoors. Anyone wishing to travel in a Mass Audubon vehicle must bring their vaccination record (actual or photo) for visual confirmation.
