Massachusetts' North Shore is a wonderful place to observe ducks. We'll visit lakes, ponds, reservoirs, and farm fields in Essex County, then finish at the freshwater impoundments at the Parker River National Wildlife Refuge. You can expect to see a wide variety of waterfowl, including Northern Pintail, Long-tailed Duck, Green-winged Teal, Northern Shoveler, and American Wigeon, to name just a few.

Instructions and Directions:

Meet at Ipswich River Wildlife Sanctuary in Topsfield. Bring binoculars and a field guide to birds. Wear clothing and footwear appropriate for the weather and terrain.

Masks are required indoors and in vans; they are optional outdoors. Anyone wishing to travel in a Mass Audubon vehicle must bring their vaccination record (actual or photo) for visual confirmation.

Please note our NEW CANCELLATION POLICY: If cancellations are made less than 7 days prior to the program, refunds cannot be issued.
