New name - same amazing program!

For teens 13-18 years old.

Interesting hikes, natural history topics to explore, hands-on projects, and real wildlife data-collection opportunities will be based on your input and interests in this exciting club for teens. This is your chance to get involved behind the scenes with Mass Audubon's science and conservation work. The club meets one or two Saturdays a month in a spring/summer session and fall/winter session. We also take one field trip each session to connect with other local organizations, learn more about environmental issues in our communities, and find out how you can make a difference.

Past projects have included salamander monitoring, birding and bird conservation, pulling invasive plants, habitat restoration, wildlife tracking with trail cameras, water quality monitoring by canoe, and much more. You will also meet other local teens who are passionate about nature, science, and taking care of our world.

Here are the tentative topics and projects for this Spring (subject to change as new opportunities and interests arise):

April 1st - 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm: First Meeting Teambuilding and Vernal Pool Amphibian Egg Mass Survey
April 29th - 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm: Introduction to iNaturalist and City Nature Challenge
May 13th - 7:00am to 9:00 am: Early Morning Pajama Birding
May 27th - 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm: Dusk Hike and Wildlife Sound Survey
June 10th - 10:00 am to 2:00 pm: Field Trip! Location TBD
June 17th - 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm: Climate Change on the Ipswich River (joint meeting with the North Shore Youth Climate Leadership Club)

Oh, and snacks are included!
