Enjoy a pleasant morning stroll at migrant hotspot Martin Burns Wildlife Management Area. We will walk a two mile loop trail through hardwood forest, shrubland, and wetlands looking for singing warblers and other migrating passerines. Warblers we hope to see include Black-and-White, Blue-winged, Chestnutsided, Prairie, and Magnolia warblers. Other passerine species such as Eastern Bluebirds, Indigo Buntings, Scarlet Tanagers, Rose-breasted Grosbeaks, Field Sparrows, and Baltimore Orioles should make an appearance as well. Bring a daypack with snacks and water
Bring binoculars, field guides and spotting scope if available. You may wish to have snacks and water. Please dress warmly and wear waterproof boots. Transportation provided from Drumlin Farm Education parking lot.
