Did you know dragonflies and damselflies live most of their lives underwater? How do you tell the difference between a dragonfly and a damselfly? Can dragonflies fly backwards? Come learn about these fascinating and efficient predators!

This program begins in the museum's auditorium with an investigation of native dragonfly and damselfly specimens, a story, and a dragonfly craft. We then go on a short guided hike around Trailside's pond to look for dragonflies and damselflies, and investigate the dragonfly and damselfly larvae that live in the pond.
