Cape Cod Bird Sightings — Tuesday, February 10, 2026

Cape Cod Weekly Wildlife Sightings is sponsored by the Bird Watchers General Store in Orleans and Mass Audubon's Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary. The following sightings were reported between February 4 and February 10, 2026.

A Western Tanager is visiting a feeder in Yarmouth and a male Painted Bunting continues at a feeder in Brewster.

A flock of 20 Bohemian Waxwings was found near Herring Cove Beach in Provincetown over the weekend.

At Race Point Beach there were at least 2 Pacific Loons, 1200 Razorbills, a Dovekie, a Thick-billed Murre, 13 Common Murres, 20 Black-legged Kittiwakes, a Glaucous Gull, 45 Iceland Gulls, 3 Red-necked Grebes, and 18 Red-throated Loons.

Other sightings around the Cape included a Barrow’s Goldeneye at Scusset Beach in Sandwich and 2 more at Loop Beach in Cotuit, an Orange-crowned Warbler visiting a feeder in Mashpee, single Chipping Sparrows at feeding stations several places, single Brown Thrashers in West Barnstable and Brewster, a Black-headed Gull in Centerville, an Evening Grosbeak in Barnstable, a Short-eared Owl in West Dennis, 2 Western Willets in Chatham, 3 Wood Ducks among hundreds of waterfowl at Town Cove in Orleans, and a Yellow-bellied Sapsucker at Wellfleet Bay sanctuary.
