Winterfest at North River

Shake off the winter cabin fever and bring the whole family for some nature-themed fun for all ages. In case of severe weather, we’ll move the event to Sunday, February 8.

Celebrate the magic of winter at North River Wildlife Sanctuary with a full slate of family-friendly indoor and outdoor activities.

This special event sparkles with three hands-on sessions (2:30 pm, 3:45 pm, and 5:00 pm) designed for fun and discovery. Register for the time slot that works best for you, and during your session, you can:

• Meet live raptors from the Blue Hills Trailside Museum during an animal show
• Help create a community art canvas
• Join guided nature walks along the sanctuary’s trails
• Warm up by the fire pit with s’mores
• Explore interactive touch tables
• Experience the trails after dark (late session only)

Before you head home, swing by the Nature Play Area and take a look at the exciting progress on North River’s All Persons Trail upgrades.

• Adults: $14 members, $16 nonmembers
• Children 2-17: $10 members, $13 nonmembers
• Children 2 and Under: Free
