Expanded Nature Center Hours

The nature center is now open on Saturdays! Stop by Wednesday through Saturday from 10:00 am–3:00 pm.

Step into the Bird Viewing Room, where expansive windows offer a front-row seat to the activity at the sanctuary’s feeders and interactive biofacts and engaging displays deepen your connection to local wildlife. Families can explore, learn, and play in the Discovery Room, where hands-on activities and close encounters with North River’s animal ambassadors inspire curiosity about the natural world.

Get up close with some of North River's most popular residents. On the first Saturday of each month, visitors can meet our animal ambassadors, help feed our two Red-eared Sliders, meet our Corn Snake, and discover the amazing adaptations that help these reptiles thrive. This fun, hands-on drop-in program requires no registration and is free for Mass Audubon members or included with sanctuary admission.
