Teen Adventure Trip: Bike & Beach - Cape Cod

Visit some of New England's premier coastal destinations on this trip to Cape Cod. We'll kayak in Barnstable Bay, explore the beaches and dunes of the Cape, and meet up with Mass Audubon naturalists to participate in hands-on conservation science. Next, we'll travel to Wellfleet sanctuary to discover its marshes, beaches, and woodlands. The trip will conclude with a bike ride through the famous Province Land's Trails of the Cape Cod National Seashore and a relaxing afternoon at the beach.

This itinerary includes cycling; participants should already be comfortable on a bicycle.

Teen Adventure Trips immerse teens entering grades 9-12 in the natural wonders of some of New England's most beautiful areas. All trips focus on developing a love of the outdoors, but each trip takes a unique approach. A wide variety of trip options accommodate many interests and levels of outdoor experience.

Teen Adventure Trips begin with a half day of team-building and orientation at Blue Hills. Groups then travel to destinations around the Northeast. Along the way, they'll participate in a variety of outdoor adventures, learn the basics of Leave No Trace camping and trekking, and meet with conservation professionals to participate in hands on environmental study or service. Groups are small and co-ed, with two leaders and between 5-10 teens. Participants practice hands-on skills in conservation and outdoor living and develop knowledge of the region's natural history.

Mass Audubon utilizes electronic submission of health forms through CampDoc.com. Within 48 hours of registering, CampDoc will invite you to create a profile. Your login will be the email address of parent/guardian from the first page. Health forms need to be completed by May 1st. Please notify the office of any changes.

The Camp Handbook with packing list can be found on our website, updated each spring. Refunds are not given for participant dismissal, failure to attend, absence, or sick days. If the camp must cancel a session, you will receive a full refund. If you need to cancel on or before May 15th, a refund of all but the $100 non-refundable deposit will be made. After May 15th, no refund is available.
