Description
The ever-changing coastline of Cape Cod is vibrant, diverse, and dynamic. Barrier beaches, salt marshes, tidal flats, coastal heathlands, and maritime forests are just some of the incredible systems we will explore in this series of hikes that celebrate these unique and essential habitats dotting our coastline.
High Head is the end of glacial Cape Cod. Join us as we make our way through the parabolic dunes and out to the great beach. This hike is 4-5mi in length, and includes walking on soft sand.
During the program, we make stops to enjoy birds, other wildlife, and the area's unique cultural history. We will also take water breaks and stop for lunch.
