Description
Drop in anytime between 11 am and 3 pm to learn more about sea turtles and why they strand on the beaches of Cape Cod in the late fall and get a behind-the-scenes look at rescue efforts. Other species of turtles will also be a highlight at this 'open house.'
Enjoy a photo exhibit of our rescue program, touch tables with turtle shells and skulls, a craft table for kids, family-friendly sea turtle games, lectures, and more. Staff and volunteers will be on hand to answer questions.
The event is free with regular sanctuary admission or membership.
In addition to the open house we will be offering guided sea turtle patrol walks, sea turtle lab tours, live animal demonstration, and more. Fees apply for these additional programs and pre-registration is required.
