Description
As dusk settles over Wellfleet Bay, male American Woodcocks begin one of the strangest courtship displays in the bird world.
Walk out with a Mass Audubon naturalist to listen for the buzzy peent calls that carry from the field edges, then watch the birds spiral high into the fading light and tumble back down. Along the way you'll take in the other sights and sounds of a Cape Cod evening as night settles in. Your guide knows where the woodcocks have been displaying, though wildlife sightings are never guaranteed.
