Description
The Black-capped Chickadee is small enough to fit in your palm and stays in Massachusetts all winter.
Settle in with a hot drink and a sweet treat for a 45-minute look at the life history of the state bird, and the specialized adaptations that let such a small body hold out through a New England winter. You'll also learn what actually helps local chickadee populations, from what you put in a feeder to what you plant in a yard.
There is time for questions at the end.
