Description
When the full moon rises over Wellfleet Bay, the sanctuary transforms into something entirely different. On this guided evening walk, you'll move through the trails as the sun sets over Cape Cod Bay and the moon climbs above the eastern tree line.
A Wellfleet Bay naturalist leads the way, tuning your attention to the sounds and movements of nocturnal wildlife, including owls, nightjars, and animals active after dark. You'll discover the specific adaptations that help these creatures thrive in conditions most of us rarely experience. We'll cover less than 1.5 miles at a pace designed for stopping and taking it all in.

Please dress for the weather and wear comfortable walking shoes. Bring binoculars if you have them. The program ends in low-light conditions; consider bringing a flashlight. Please arrive and check in 10 minutes before the program begins.
