Seashore Ramble: Low Tide Investigations

Description

When the tide goes out on Cape Cod Bay, an entire hidden world appears. Walk approximately 1 mile (2 miles round trip) along Goose Pond Trail through five distinct natural communities on the way to the tidal flats where you'll use dip nets and magnifiers to search for the crabs, fish, turtles, and other marine animals that live in the intertidal zone.

A Wellfleet Bay naturalist will help you make sense of what you find, explaining how these remarkable creatures survive the daily push and pull of the tides and why this coastal habitat is so critical to the health of our shores.

It's a perfect outing for curious kids and adults alike.
