Description
June and July mark nesting season for the Diamondback Terrapin, a state-threatened turtle that calls Wellfleet Bay's salt marshes home. Alongside a specialized terrapin nesting technician, you'll search for signs of nesting activity, learn about the terrapin's unique life history, and discover how Mass Audubon works to protect both the turtles and the salt marsh habitat they depend on. The walk covers up to 2 miles at a comfortable pace.
