Description
Designed to be welcoming for people of all abilities, this leisurely exploration follows Wellfleet Bay's accessible All Persons Trail through a remarkable variety of habitats, including a pollinator garden, vernal pool, forest, freshwater pond, and salt marsh, all packed into a flat half-mile route.
As you explore, a naturalist will help you look and listen for songbirds, shorebirds, and wading birds while sharing the remarkable adaptations that help local species survive and thrive. New to birding? Even better—beginners are especially encouraged.
The trail is largely flat with a well-packed crushed stone surface, frequent benches, and is suitable for most wheelchairs and mobility devices. The program begins and ends at the Nature Center.
