Description
Learn how, why, and which birds are singing. Get to know vocalizations, differences between songs and calls, and how to decipher what you hear.
This program covers 0.5 miles, traversing diverse habitats including a pollinator garden, vernal pool, forest, freshwater pond, and salt marsh. We'll move at a slow pace, taking time to observe and listen for songbirds, shorebirds, and wading birds.
The 0.25-mile out-and-back trail is surfaced with packed crushed stone, largely flat, and wheelchair accessible, with ample benches for rest along the way. We will begin and end at the Nature Center.
