Description
As the sun sets, push off into one of the most serene paddling experiences Cape Cod has to offer. This guided evening kayak takes you across a chain of three pristine freshwater kettle ponds tucked deep within the Cape Cod National Seashore, as the last light of the sun gives way to the glow of the full moon overhead.
A Wellfleet Bay naturalist will lead the way, sharing the hidden human history of this quiet corner of the Outer Cape while you look and listen for the nocturnal wildlife that comes alive after dark.

Instructions
Pre-registration is required. Previous (recent) paddling experience and good swimming ability are required. Participants need to be able to get into and out of the kayaks unassisted. The kayak trip leader reserves the right to deny further participation to paddlers who do not demonstrate adequate paddling ability. Directions to the meeting place will be given upon registration.
This trip meets and leaves from Gull Pond Landing (directions attached).
Please arrive 10 minutes in advance of the start of the program. Note that the ending time for kayak trips is approximate. We make every effort to finish the trip by the ending time listed but because we are dealing with wind, tide and differing degrees of experience on the part of the participants, there is always the possibility that the trip will run longer than anticipated. For this reason, we suggest that you not count on the trip ending at the time listed and plan accordingly.
Participants may choose among available single kayaks or bring their own kayak. All equipment is provided; all participants must wear life jackets.
We recommend that you bring a windbreaker, hat, and drinking water. There are no facilities, such as restrooms or water fountains, at the meeting places.
