Description
Look closely at samples of mature ferns, and examine the structural features and unique details that characterize some of the most common ferns found in New England. Then, while walking the trails, you'll have an opportunity to solidify your fern know-how as you practice field identification. Six or more different species of ferns can be expected.
Whether you like to sketch, photograph, name, or simply marvel at ferns, this field class will help you understand the seasonal progression of these ancient plants.
This program is one part of a 2-session Fiddleheads to Ferns Series. Register for both programs at a discounted price. You do not need to sign up for both programs to enjoy this one!
