Description
By late March the sanctuary is waking up in small, subtle ways: buds swelling on the maples, early greenery poking through, and the first insects out on a warm afternoon.
On this family hike, a naturalist leads you through the sanctuary to find the earliest signs of the season. You'll learn which plants and animals move first in spring, why their timing matters, and how protected land gives them room to get it right.
